Emma, a homeschooling parent passionate about sustainable living, discovered Adapt Your Table as a way to incorporate hands-on STEM learning into her daughter’s education.

Though initially uncertain about setting up a tabletop farm and handling the technical aspects of indoor farming, Emma decided to enroll in the online course and order the kit. The course’s step-by-step guidance helped her and her daughter assemble the farm with ease, even allowing them to explore coding and data tracking. With each lesson, they grew more confident in adjusting light, humidity, and temperature settings, seeing the direct impact on their plants.

As Emma’s daughter observed the changes in taste and nutrition within their home-grown produce, she developed a newfound curiosity about food-growing science. The experience sparked a shift in her thinking, as she began recognizing real-world problems and experimenting with solutions. By the end of the project, they proudly harvested their vegetables, bringing science to life and providing a rewarding conclusion to their learning journey with Adapt Your Table. Emma found that this interdisciplinary approach not only built her daughter’s confidence but also deepened her appreciation for the impact of thoughtful, hands-on education.

Robyn, Overwhelmed Mom

Janine knows it all so I don’t have to, and I couldn’t be more grateful. As a mom, it’s very important to me to not only give my kids nourishing foods, but to also teach and involve them in the process. But in this day of never ending access to information, it can be so incredibly overwhelming to know where or how to even begin, especially when it comes to food and nutrition. I’m so grateful she has found a way to not only help me fulfill this desire of mine, but to do it in a way that my kids and I are learning side by side.

Sarah, Mom to 4 teens

As an assistant coach for my teen’s robotics team, I see the incredible value of engaging kids in building technology. Not just a cute little STEM camp but true immersion into building and harnessing technology to make lives better.  When I found this, I was so excited to incorporate it into my middle-schooler’s homeschool curriculum.  I see great potential in placing the power of innovation in our children’s hands.
